Rope Reel Assembly
The rope reel is the heart of the cover's travel system. Precision-machined from stainless steel, it winds and unwinds the pull ropes that move the cover across the pool. The reel maintains consistent tension throughout the full travel distance, preventing slack that could cause misalignment or fabric bunching. Unlike painted or zinc-plated alternatives, the stainless steel construction means the reel won't corrode even in constant exposure to chlorinated water vapor.

Adjustable Torque Limiter
The torque limiter is a mechanical safety device that prevents the motor from applying excessive force to the fabric or mechanism. If the cover encounters an obstruction — a piece of debris, ice buildup, or a misaligned track — the torque limiter disengages the motor before damage occurs. It's field-adjustable, meaning the installer can calibrate it to the specific pool's size and cover weight during installation. This single component prevents the most common cause of mechanism failure in competing systems: motor burnout from fighting an obstruction.

BISON E2000 Motor
The BISON E2000 is the drive unit behind every Standard Mechanism system. It provides reliable, consistent power to cover pools up to 24 x 60 feet. The motor is housed in a stainless steel enclosure that protects against moisture, debris, and chemical exposure. It operates on standard residential electrical circuits and is designed for thousands of open/close cycles over its lifespan.

Control Options
Every Standard Mechanism system includes your choice of control interface — a PIN-secured keypad or a weatherproof rocker switch. Both are designed for outdoor installation and are rated for years of exposure to sun, rain, and pool chemicals.

Compatibility
Pool shapes: Rectangular pools. Custom shapes may be accommodated — contact us for consultation.
Pool sizes: Up to 24 feet wide by 60 feet long.
Fabric: Compatible with all Aegis fabric colors and weights.
New construction and retrofits: The Standard Mechanism can be installed during new pool construction or retrofitted to existing rectangular pools with appropriate coping and deck conditions.
Electrical: Requires dedicated 110V or 220V circuit (consult installation guide for specific requirements).

Installation Requirements
- Flat, level coping around the pool perimeter
- Adequate deck space at the mechanism end for the housing unit
- Dedicated electrical circuit run to the mechanism location
- Aluminum track system installed along both long sides of the pool
- Professional installation by an authorized Integra dealer recommended
